UMBRIA is the Green Heart of Italy. It is the only one of the regions that is not touching any part of the Mediterranean Sea. This means that its local cuisine is very specific and different from other regions, and highly dependent of foraging, wild boar and mushrooms. Umbria has delicious white and red wines, grown for centuries on the green hills… My parents and aunt live in Umbria, so it is my “other home” outside of Rome.

  • We do have 3 sofa sleepers available within each of the 3 bedrooms in case more than 6 travelers want to join the fun :)

  • Giove, Umbria is our closest hilltop village

  • Swimming pool (open seasonally May 15 to October 15)

  • 9 acres of land with olive trees, fruiting trees & herbs

  • Nature trails everywhere

  • Forage for mushrooms and truffles, and other edible plants on our land and all around

  • Cooking classes and wine tastings on our beautiful outdoor table and in hilltop villages and vineyards nearby

  • The cuisine in Umbria concentrates on mushrooms, truffles, wild boar, aged meats and delicious wines
